Asho Square Cushion
Handwoven in Myanmar (Burma) - this piece is inspired by the ‘Kounsho’ head wrapper, an item of traditional dress worn by Asho women. The ‘flower’ motif is unique to the Asho and is hand embroidered into the ground of the cloth. The Asho are one of many Chin ethnic groups, who live today in Rakhine state (Western Myanmar). Woven in collaboration with Turquoise Mountain as part of their textile conservation programme.
The size of the cushion is 45cm x 45cm, the composition is 100% cotton. All cushions come with duck feather inserts.
